Flame #07 Pyro tries not to be obvious she wants company.

[Text Only][To All]

I'd like to seek contact with the blue haired man I met when first waking up into Paradise. Do any of you know where I can find him?

[Because there is unfinished business that needs to be discussed--and it may or may not end with her lighting him on fire.]

[/end]

[Voice][Filtered to RED Team (RED Engineer, RED Male!Pyro and RED Medic)]

Are any of you finding it strange to live by yourself? I was considering the possibility of moving my location to somewhere larger and decided it wouldn't hurt to offer a new place to everyone. Somewhere that...

[Drifting off, she hesitates.]

Reminds us more of home.

I don't mind scout--

[Stops and cringes at her choice of words there.]

Looking around.

[/end]

Would moving someplace new bother you if I helped you move your possessions? I'd like to discuss the matter with you, Hana-chan.

You zhink just because you von zhis time, zhat it vill alvays end like zhis und you can alvays mock me?

[Right. Offensive class against support class. He glances back towards his übersaw still lieing on the ground, the large syringe attatched to it indicating that he had gotten just one hit in. Clearly not his best result.]

It vill not end like zhis again.

I'm not mocking you. How long will it take to get it through that thick German head of yours? Despite what you may think of me, I don't judge someones fighting ability essentially on their class--especially when it comes to melee combat. I've seen other Medics I would practically call Battle Medics. They don't always hide behind Heavy with their medigun out and they aren't scared to ram their weapons straight into their opponents chest.

I've seen a lot of interesting things....

Our RED base had more then one Medic. Do you know how scary and amazing it is when two of them get together and ubercharge each other on and off simultaneously? They can take out anything.

[She's trying to say she respects you here.]

[Medic fell silent at that and stopped what he was doing, shoulders slumping slightly.]

Ich weiß. Zhe BLUs had two Medics... Mein team dezided zu request einem second Heavy vhen given zhe choize...

[And if he hadn't been stuck between their Heavy and Soldier before that already, his fate had been sealed by then. The RED would literally have killed to get a chance to do some active fighting every now and then, but his colleagues apparently didn't think much of that idea. So hearing Pyro's words just now left him with a nasty envious itch.

With a brief shake of his head and a depressed sigh he set down the medical supplies, straightened his clothes and finally picked up his saw at least before standing up from the ground. He was far from done with his wound, but he didn't feel like sticking around any longer and listening to this and learn how apparently he couldn't keep up with these amazing other Medics. Right. He was one of those Medics that spend most of their time running after a Heavy. But not because he wanted to do so, but because his colleagues would tear him to shreds if he did different. So the whole topic was a bit of a touchy one to him.

Walking away slowly, the man hisses in a low voice.]

Maybe you are lucky und razher get one of your colleagues to show up hier instead of me.

It would be nice--but there are several reasons that would be bad if that happened.

[Focusing in directly on his eyes, Pyro gave him the stare down as she admitted her secret.]

None of them know I'm a woman besides my own Medic. When he gave me my first checkup he didn't seem to care despite how nervous I was when he saw my naked body. He said he found no need to tell the rest of the team and so far--it looks like he hasn't. I'd like to have a little break from hiding my face, no matter how much I miss my Enginee--er, the others back home.

...

I don't think they would take me as seriously just because I was born a female. There are times I wish I could of been born a man so I could at least smile and talk to my co-workers with them knowing how I feel. But I can't.

[The man stopped in his tracks and turned to return the stare with a frown on his own.]

Of course zhere ist no need to tell such a zhing zu anyone! Two thirds of all Pyromaniacs I ever vorked vizh vere female, und BLU even has eine higher quota in zhis. If only HALF of you vould take off zheir mask every now und zhen, most of zhe teams vould be used to haffing you females around!

[Which didn't mean he particularly agreed on zhis either, though.]

.......

.............!?

You met other female Pyros? I never knew of any other ones. I thought I was the only one.

I'm unsure. They might get annoyed having to cover up their filth and stop belching like disgusting idiots at the dining hall if there was a lady present. Let's not forget them going on about their sexual encounters.

[There were so many things Pyro would be better off not hearing. EVER.]

Tch. Of course you haff met zhem! But you all haff your masks glued to your faces, so it ist no vonder you are unable to recognize one anozher.

[He snorts, turns away again and continues walking away.]

...und I keep telling every single one of you, but do you vomen ever -listen-?!

H-hey! Chotto matte kudasai!

[Chasing after him, Pyro sprang to her foot and shuffled along behind him with loud heavy steps.]

What...what were they like? I want to know.

Vhat. Every single one of zhem?!

[He snarled back at her over his shoulder and stopped again to cross his arms and frown her way.]

Different. Every single one of zhem vas different! Some didn't even dare to speak a single vord vizhout zheir mask, some vere even crazier zhan our Soldier und one even made it her hobby to set our own Scouts on fire.

[She was just fascinated to know there were others like her. Male or female, any Pyro to her was like a kindred spirit. However, growing up she had been taken to a psychiatrist many times and had been told the odds of females becoming pyromaniacs were much rarer then boys.]

I don't blame the one who burnt her own Scouts. Those young boys are full of hormones they don't know how to control. They probably stole her underwear and were sniffing them.

But just hearing there things? I know I am different then them now too. We may have an interest in setting anything we can get our flamethrower around aflame, but all of us are more then that...not that anyone ever takes notice.

For instance, we just go by class names? Yes. That's all anyone thinks they need to know about anyone in our line of work. But studying an opponent--each one is different even if they are the same class. They act differently. I've noticed during the times where I've been hiding in seclusion waiting for a group of BLUs to come my way so I can ambush them. Sometimes it is little things--their hold on their weapons is incorrect and is more likely to provide inaccuracy when going for a target for example.

[At least one stereotype about Pyro was certainly true. As a woman, she sure could ramble.]

[identity profile] uebercharge.livejournal.com 2011-06-01 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
Of course you are different as vell! I just said so--

[He gave an annoyed sigh and ran his hand over his face. He certainly wasn't in the mood for any class discussions now. Hell. Members of his class all even looked very similar and even had similar voices! Yes. Tiny differences were there, but at first these things sure had required some getting used to.]

Are you done now?

[He just wanted to leave and finally take care of that bleeding gash in his shoulder.]

....

[Putting her mask back on that had been setting on the ground, Pyro watched as her brain slug moved to her shoulder in the process to avoid suffocating to death underneath there.

She wasn't wearing the rest of her uniform, but this was usually the most effective way to silence herself from anything but 'hudda speak' which tended to take more concentration to understand.

Nodding her head silently, she looked up at him through her dark eye holes on her mask sounding disappointed with a mumbling groan.]

[Nodding briefly at that, Medic turned once more and finally, FINALLY seemed allowed to leave, return home, lock the door and just be with himself for hopefully a long, LONG time.

...and if he was lucky, she'd forget about the whole moving together-thing soon.]
