[After several attempts to turn on the PCD with no proper thumbs, Pyro or Chibi Momo appears on the screen yapping. Placing her paw on the screen, she taps at it and barks again. Unaware, Chibi Momo has not understood that turning into a dog means speaking dog as well. The barks in her ears sound like perfect English.]

[Maybe she just needed to try this all one more time.

As he petted her, her eyes lowered and she carefully typed out each letter without making a single mistake.

The words that appeared on the screen were as follows:]

Don't leave Pyro.

[That got Sniper's attention. As the words appeared on the screen, he sat upright, startled. Okay, Chibi was a lot smarter than the average dog, but RED had never anticipated to what degree. A knot formed in his throat- perhaps the dog had understood everything he'd been told, every private thought that had been shared.

His color shifted from pale to red, his embarrassment apparent. It took him another moment to convince himself that this was still Chibi, the pup he trusted. Dogs were faithful beings, and though he could communicate with others, that didn't mean he would. He'd indicated he couldn't talk, after all. And communicating with letters was obviously an effort more trouble than it was worth.

... Unless he felt the message was important, that was. There were certain things that could be expressed without words, but some things took more.

RED pushed his hand under his hood, running it through his hair as he decided to just accept it for now. Chibi could understand the Queen's English and type it to a minimal degree. It was just another oddity of Paradise, right up there with the rest of the talking animals.]

I already told you why I have to. It's complicated. Stuff ya probably don't understand.

[When she finished she realized just how much she had typed. Immediately to Sniper she'd probably look like the smartest dog in existence. She felt bad about using Chibi's body for her own selfish needs but there was no other way to stop him from running.
She'd like to think Chibi would tell him not to run away too.]

[While he trusted what Chibi thought, Sniper's defenses raised themselves as he was pressured to do something he did not want to do.]

I'm not gonna do that. There's nothing to talk about with her.

Tell her yourself or I will.

[He paused, his stony expression laced with a definite fear. He wasn't sure if Chibi was bluffing or telling the truth.]

You wouldn't. I said those things to you in confidence.

I would if you do not.

You're old enough not to run away from your problems. Don't do it, not here.

I'm not running away. She won't get it if I say anything to her. It'll just give her the wrong impression.

You'll make her cry.

You'll make her cry a whole bunch.

It won't be good for anyone.

Who will feed you and take care of you?

I need you to be taken care of by her so you can take care of me.

I don't need her taking care of me. Once my arm is healed, I'll be perfectly capable of doing that on my own.

And let's be honest- you don't need me to take care of you. You do that better than I do.

[Grabbing the PCD in her mouth after he'd get a glimpse at the screen, Chibi Momo made a dash towards the door in an attempt to run off.]

Wait, Ringo! Hey!

[In his haste to stand and stop the pup from making it out the door, RED's crutch slipped; he stepped on his injured leg in an attempt to balance himself, but only made things worse.

Unable to support him, his knee ached so sharply that he crumpled in on himself with a yelp, landing halfway on the couch before falling completely to the floor. He remained there for a moment, shaking as he bit back tremendous pain before trying to pick himself up with his one usable arm.

If nothing else, he had proven his point.]
