[Sniper was left standing by the door to the room, utter confusion worn into his face at her reaction. Several moments passed before he moved, his actions far more mechanical than they had been only moments before- he crossed the room stiffly, leaning his own back into the bathroom door and having a seat.
His bewilderment mingled with despondence, his mind turning her rejection over and over. His expression hardened, embittered- he kicked himself inwardly for thinking for even a moment that she'd wanted him like that, or that she ever would. He'd made a fool of himself, and it made him angry.]
