[Enraptured, Sniper hardly noticed the door open, the yapping and squeaking barely pulling his attention from the woman beneath him. It wasn't until she screamed and he was shoved off her that he was snapped from his trance. The force pushed him backward, off the bed and onto his feet. Stepping on his wounded leg on reflex to keep himself upright resulted in an opposite reaction: he gave a sharp groan as he collapsed, his knee in absolute agony that was far more noticeable now that he didn't have every one of his senses focused on her.
