Flame #11 Strange happenings

I am either extremely lucky or extremely unfortunate. This week has been an interesting turn of events--perhaps it has been the most eventful week in this world for me so far. I cannot say I dislike or like this place yet and I doubt I ever will have a true opinion. My feeling for it is that of nothingness. I coexist here as I do back in my own world. Just how many versions of there are me in this universe? Does one of me exist where I never wear a mask and don't crave the smell of scorching flesh and dying screams? That would be surreal.

[Yes, that's all he has to say. Ignore the hidden 'Then you don't need me anymore.' He'll turn off the device after that, leave it at home and go out to leave the city for a while. Do not expect to hear a word from him for the next few days. Or week. It's what his Soldier kept telling him: He's the most easily replaceable on the team. And as soon as there's a dispenser around who needs a stupid Medic anymore?]

Sensei can be with us too.

Pyro would be in one of her nightgowns in his bedroom. Kneeling on the mattress, she had a book with very graphic pictures opened up. The look on Pyro's face if anything was that of confusion. The word 'sex' had come up a lot lately, so she thought she should study it.

Needless to say Engineer had a look of confusion and embarrassment on his face. He'd sit down next to Pyro "I didn't exactly expect this." He spoke with a little laugh to show he wasn't mad or anything, not wanting to give her the wrong idea. "Where'd you even find somethin' like this here?"

"Oh, well there are bookstores here. I just went there and found something." And the moment she flipped the page, there was a picture example of mammary intercourse.

Eyes expanding a little at the picture, she placed a hand over her mouth as she muttered, "Oppai."

He put his hands over his eyes and blushed "Pyro you don't have to look up this stuff if it's gonna bother you. I suppose it is somethin' ya gotta find out eventually though."

Closing the book and pushing it off the bed like it is something very dirty that shouldn't be touched, she shook her head. "I...I've never seen anything like that before. Ok, now I understand why men like those."

Looking over at him, she rubbed a fist against her cheek shyly. "I know I don't have to. However, I was curious."

He couldn't help but laugh as she pushed the book off the bed. Wrapping an arm around her he'd scruff up her hair a little "Eh well do what you want. I suppose it doesn't hurt anythin' if you get curious."

Blushing as he grabbed hold of her and played with her short hair, she batted at his hand playfully. "Mou, I bet Hana-chan even knows more about this sort of stuff then I do. How embarrassing. I guess I can't say I was ever that interested though, burning random objects out in the forest near my home was my idea of how to spend a night as a teenager."

Thinking of Hana and just how old she was, she then remembered her age and something else. "And now I am almost 25."

He chuckled imagining her just burning random bits of paper and whatever else outside her home. He wrapped both arms around her and looked at her curiously as she mentioned her age "Oh? When is your birthday? I've never been able to pry that info out of the doc back home."

"August 6th. I usually forget it myself, I don't think I've celebrated a birthday since I was a kid." She knew Americans liked to make big deals about the day they were born, but it didn't seem like that big of a deal back home. Maybe if she was lucky her parents might buy something expensive like watermelon or beef to give her, but other then that it was just like any other day for her.

"I'm not sure if I've ever gotten a birthday present or a birthday cake. I do remember birthday food though. My mom would always go buy something that was difficult to obtain back in those days in Japan like beef or fruit. Japan is a very small country with many people, yes? That means there isn't much room to grow or produce livestock."

"Well not we can't have that, you're gettin' a birthday party this year." He gave a smile "Just invite people you don't mind sharin' your identity with and I'll handle the food and everythin' else."

"There is no need to do that. I believe I have already received a gift for this year and it just arrived early." Poking his chest with a single finger, she looked down at that book on the ground before shaking her head. "I don't want to be a hassle."

He gave Pyro a hug and chuckled "Well if you don't want a party we can just spend the day together. But I am making you a cake."

Wrapping her bare arms around his waist, she tackled him to the bed like she used to back home...although, usually that was to the ground after winning a round. "That sounds fine to me." Not that she should be eating cake. "What kind of cake?"

Smiling and laughing he looked up at her "Well that's up to you, what kind of cake do you want?"

"A rum cake." Ff you were going to consume large amounts of cake, why not get intoxicated while you were at it? "Can you make that?"

He blinked "Yeah I can do that, I think my uncle had a recipe for somethin' like that."

"If you need any help, I don't mind helping. I was going to bring you some beer back later today anyways."
