[Action//Accidental Video]

The demon behind the young woman had broken free from the bonds. What once was a girl with self-control despite suffering a mental illness, it looked like someone like her could only last so long before they snapped.

She was revealed, exposed for who she truly was.

Yes, a filthy arsonist suited her just fine. It wasn't a bad name. As her flamethrower spread flames over the shops and homes around Paradise she savored the screams and pain of those who suffered.

It was all her fault. As a Pyro, this is what she was. Who had she been before that? Who was Momo? Was Momo really her? No. Momo was someone else inside of her that tried to stop her from having fun. The life she was supposed to live, this was it. This is why she existed. When she ceased to walk on these lands, she would find herself in hell. Satan would have her as his right-hand man and she'd perform the duties of making people feel eternal suffering.

There was a human inside of her. The body she was given must of been fake. No human should of been able to have the tolerance to fire as she had, nor would they get off on it like she did. She had always been a freak, from the moment she found out she could snap her fingers and qualify as her own lighter, she knew she was different.

Her footsteps were strong and prideful. There was no reason to be ashamed. The fact she was alive was proof of that. If she had no purpose, she wouldn't be here.

Through the pops and cracks of the flames roasting on wood, she thought she could hear a voice. Someone--something was calling her.

It's okay, Pyro. It's okay.

"I can't understand ya with that mask. You know that."

Met with the face he'd given her, she was a fearsome sight, a being fitting of the flames that danced around her; however, Sniper didn't back down, walking toward her instead. He didn't understand what she said, but he knew one thing as he watched the buildings around them for any sign of the masked man- he was not about to let anyone touch her. He would do what he had to do to protect her from everyone, including herself.

"I have a feelin' I know what you're doin', pumpkin. With all this." He gestured to the chaos around them.

Sigh. He never did understand her be it with the mask on or off. Why should she push it up to speak to him? Fine, she'd humor him.

Pushing it up so it rested on her head, her face was covered in soot and fresh burn scar going all the way over her right eye. When she blinked, she felt the way it pained her. It made her shudder with delight.

"You don't know what I'm doing.

You don't understand anything about me.

No one really does. The closest anyone ever got was Sensei."

His eyes trailed her scar, expression unflinching.

"You do it because you have to. It's a part of who you are, isn't it?"

Perhaps he understood more than even he realized until that moment.

The smoke did little to make her cough. She was too used to it by now. "... I saw my mother. I saw what she did. She can do it too, better then I can--yet all these years, I've been treated so unfairly by her. I was told never to show off, that I was born unnatural. Why was I given an existence where I can't do as I please? If I can't do what I want, I don't want to be alive."

"Life's not fair sometimes," RED said, lowering his voice, eyes dropping in tandem. "If there's anyone who knows that, it's the two of us."

He took another step toward her, stifling a cough, the burning air making his throat itch more and more. "You're not unnatural. You're not crazy, and neither am I. Ya are who you are. Who you choose to be."

"I'm sorry, but it's too late now. We can't talk anymore... probably never again, Sniper. Even if I somehow miraculously survive all of this, I doubt I will be welcomed.

I've come too far. You can see that."

Motioning at the destruction she had caused, she placed a hand back on her mask. She still had to be cautious of Sniper, he could be trying to pull a fast one on her.

"My only wish now is to live alone with Jell-O. To do so, I have to kill everyone. That's the way this is going to work. That's the only way I'll be accepted as normal.

Go away now. Kill yourself. Find some way to go home. These are ny last words of advice for you. I'm already too much of demon, I might turn this flamethrower back on any second and kill you."

He was motionless as she spoke to him, threatening the deaths of everyone around them, and likely herself included... and yet, she was going to let him walk away. She was sparing his life, only to damn him to one without her. It was a lose-lose situation in his eyes.

His body tensed as he choked back another cough. "Then go on with it! Ya act like livin' without you is somethin' I wanna do! It's not, got it?"

That coughing fit finally escaped him, forcing him to catch his breath. The wind blew, spreading the fire from one building to the next, cutting off paths of escape with every passing moment.

"I came back to this godforsaken city to find you and watch your back. That's my job, and that's what I'm gonna do. If I can't do that— can't make sure nothin' happens to you— then what good am I for? I might as well be dead."

She couldn't believe what she was doing. Taking the mask off the top of her head, she placed it over his own with force. She wouldn't let him deny it. "Take this and leave now. I don't need it." Perhaps this was the last bit of human kindness she had left in her. She wouldn't let Sniper die from a pathetic death such as inhalation of too much smoke.

Turning her back on him, she began to head further into the thickness of the flames. The back of her head was already missing clumps of hair from being burned off. From the looks of things, she had been self-harming herself to keep herself from going to such extremes. In the end, it had been futile.

"There's... lots of girls for you. I.. don't think I'm really suitable for you. Or practical."

Having been coughing again, Pyro caught him off-guard, forcing the mask over his head and tying it before he could fight back. Not fitted for his long face, it blocked his vision as he struggled with it, trying to get it off. While he remained trapped in it, he got it adjusted to where he could see, only to spot her heading further into the fiery madness.

Against his better judgment and her demands, he followed her, shoving down survival instinct as something else entirely drove him, compelled him. Desperation mingled with concern in his chest as he reached for her- a window shattered as he passed a building, flames lapping against his arm briefly, glass cutting him, pieces embedding themselves into his skin. He ignored the injuries, all his focus on her.

(I don't want any other girls,) he said, voice muffled from the mask. He put a hand on her shoulder. (Just you. How many times do I have to say that for you to get it?)

Stopping again when she felt the touch of his arm, she laughed with amusement before turning around and placing a hand on top of his head. "You really are just like a dog." Stroking him gently, she gave him her best smile. A real one.

"Now, now. Behave yourself. It's time to go home. Don't make me punish you, I don't want to hear you whimper." Pausing, she pressed her cheek against the mask and nuzzled against him. "That would make me sad. I don't like when cute things get harmed because of me."

Pulling back now, she waved her hand. In front of her, debris fell off from the buildings on onto the pavement. The farther she went along the path, the closer she would get to the end.

(I'm not a dog!) he exploded as she pulled away from him- he grabbed for her hand, fingers unable to dig into the rubber of her thick gloves. His body trembled as pieces of buildings crashed around them, the heat of the flames making him sweat, wind spreading the fire more and more. He took a deep breath, quelling the shaking of his frame, resolution hitting him. He was going to die for his choice, for his decision to remain with her, to chase her into the destruction she had created.

Still... he'd be with her. Somehow, it didn't seem so bad at that moment.

Unable to return her genuine smile even behind the mask, he lowered his head, closing his eyes. (That's not all I ever was to you, was it? A dog?)

"No. I really liked you. I know that. I wanted to take care of you and be with you for the rest of my life." Getting nervous all of a sudden, she feared for Sniper's safety as he seemed desperate to stop her. She didn't want to care, but dammit she did.

"I know this is going to sound stupid--" Backing away a little more, she looked down at the ground shyly as she spoke. Her posture that of a love stricken teenaged girl. "If we stayed here long enough. I--I--" No. How could she say that? She was so dumb. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

But it didn't matter anymore. She could say it, even if it was dumb.

Louder then she realized, she finished. "I thought we could get married. Then Jell-O and Teriyaki really would be our children!" Running off in embarrassment, Pyro hugged her flamethrower to her chest. What kind of girl was she to admit such a thing at a inappropriate time? How girlish! This wasn't some romance novel with a happy ending!

Squinting her eyes shut as she ran, Jell-O followed with right on her toes.

"I messed up! I messed up! I'm sorry! I can't change anything now!"

Back on the road of death she ran. One that was closer to her then she would ever realize.

Things might of been different if she had paid attention to what she had done. Fire was something Pyro could live through, but the heavy debris of sheet, wood and piping falling from the sky were another thing entirely.

She wouldn't even see it coming. That demise that was so sudden and yet so familiar.

As the heaviness touched her body, she couldn't even make a gasp or cry before felt the weight crack her bones into several pieces.

The quickest of all thoughts went through her mind:

Just like him. Just like...

Debris scattered around her whole entire body while planks of wood impaled her body. One had landed directly through her lower back and out her stomach. Blood spilled. It wouldn't stop. It just kept gushing out. More and more. This was death. The buildings around her were entirely demolished and showing their hate the only way they could. It was their luck. Jell-O squealed a high-pitched cry for his mother.

Sniper wanted to follow after her, to either stop her from dying or to make sure they faced the end together; however, the flames grew before his eyes, more collapsing debris creating a burning wall between them. He snorted angrily as it held him back, his own reservations no longer the leash around his neck keeping him from her. She hadn't needed to be embarrassed over her confession; her dream so closely reflected ones he had yet to admit he had himself.

He paced, remembering he had promised he wouldn't leave her alone again. Maybe he was more like a dog than he believed, he thought bitterly, still trying to find a way to scale the fiery mess that now stood between him and her. He'd been ready to follow her to the death, to face all dangers out of some sense of loyalty he'd thought long-dead in him. It wasn't much different from the puppy he'd told to stay behind in the forest, a dog who would have followed his master into the burning city without a second thought.

There was another crash beyond the wall of debris; the high-pitched squeal of Pyro's pet blob was nearly lost amidst the crackling of fire all around, the creaking of buildings a cacophony as they strained to stay upright, their legs burned beneath them. RED was on the alert in an instant, calling her name, but his voice was lost within the mask bound to his head.

With no way over the structure that separated them, he turned around, trying to find an exit. Fire surrounded him in all directions, spilling from every alley, crawling along the fallen planks and chunks of buildings that littered the ground. A thin corridor between two skyscrapers held the least fire, but the passage was quickly becoming as hopeless as every other route- he had to move.

His feet pushed him forward of their own accord, the need to find her now what drove him. He held his limbs close to himself as he tore through the fire, leaping over what he could of it before landing on the other side; he rolled upon landing, smothering some burning on his back. Another window cracked and shattered- the mask protected his face as he pressed onward, each step bringing him closer to the end of the alley, closer to getting around the wall, closer to her.

It didn't matter in the end as one building's supports broke, sending it crashing into its neighbor, two structures momentarily one before they both started crumbling, sending pieces of one another plummeting to the ground. The rubble acted as a saving grace, smothering the fire building around him; however, it also trapped him in the alley, falling wood and bricks landing atop him and on all sides.

And still, he continued to fight. A beam hit him sharply in the back from behind, another chunk of brash landing against his head; the mask, while it protected him from the smoke, offered little against the crumbling structures. Strength welled in him, born from pure determination, allowing him to shove aside the mess that would have held him prisoner otherwise- he stumbled from the passage, clear of the mess, the flames having hardly reached that side of the block. He was safe for the moment- he took that time to reevaluate the situation, still looking for a way to her.

His vision blurred sharply, his feet no longer moving with the fervor they had before as he felt blood run down his face, pooling at the bottom of the mask. Reaching for the back, his fingers fumbled with the laces, unable to untie them with how his hands were shaking. Adrenaline had worn him thin, leaving him with nothing when he was the one in danger. And yet, he still thought only of her, and tried to move.

It was to no avail, his body unsteady. He shook his head, but it only made things worse, the world still spinning beneath him even when he stopped. Down he went again, this time into the darkness that came with lost consciousness.
